Flusswärts is the title of the latest production by choreographer Birgit Aßhoff and the dance and performance group Wilder Aufbruch.
Numerous conversations with Paderborn citizens about the very personal significance that the Pader has for them served as a source of inspiration. In addition, the question of the appreciation of water (landscapes) as a source of life and living space, especially against the backdrop of climate change, was an important source of inspiration. How important are nature and intact habitats in which water plays a central role to us? What are we prepared to give in return? Birgit Aßhoff and her protagonists take up their impressions and observations in a spotlight-like manner and place them in impressive, performative images in the floodplain landscape of the Pader, some moments corresponding with the work of Francesco Apuzzos from raumlaborberlin.
