Workshop on the Contract with the Pader

As part of the artwork A Human Reconciliation with Water (German: Eine menschliche Versöhnung mit der Pader), Anne Duk Hee Jordan, together with lawyer Dr. Bernd Söhnlein, has developed a contract. The contract is a call to recognize the essence of the Pader in all its facets, to continue exploring it, and to take responsibility for the river’s ecological health. It is based on existing European law and inspired by numerous international initiatives.

The contract proposes the establishment of a commission that represents the community of life within the Pader and acts as trustee for the river.

At the end of the exhibition, the artist’s impulse will now be transferred into the foundation of a real commission.

In this second workshop, the results of the first workshop (28 September 2025) will be taken up and the commission will be formally established.
